Steve Powers aka ESPO is an amazing artist who's been keeping it real since forever. My older buddies used to put me on to On The Go magazine, which was a hip-hop/culture magazine he ran in the 90s. Growing up he used to come to Boston every now and then and his graffiti was always the coolest and smartest. I remember he painted my grandfather's warehouse in Cambridge and we used to bug out on his pieces at the trestles. Then he wrote The Art of Getting Over, which to this day, is my favorite book written about graffiti. In 2009 he concepted and produced A Love Letter for You, which is beautiful to me because it interacts with the city in a low-fi and accessible way. Check it out.
