NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY
Today the National Portrait Gallery in DC announced it has acquired Shepard Fairey's "HOPE" poster of Obama for their collection. Shep continues to establish himself as the most important pop artist of our generation. Pretty cool. Also...the ICA in Boston is doing a 20 year retrospective of Shepard's work next month, which will definitely be worth checking out.

BOSTON NOSTALGIA
Ty Burr writes is a film critic for the Boston Globe. I interviewed him a few years back for a marketing project I was working on with 20th Century Fox. Just stumbled upon this opinion piece he wrote, which echoes my sentiments about the divisions that keep people apart back home. Check it.
