1st Fairtilizer Playlist

Shout out to the homeboy Steph at Fairtilizer. I put this together today during the one hour I had free at the office in the morning. Loving the new Cuizi stuff and 33hz is officially my shit.

Too Black for BET

Yesterday Alex sent me a copy of Too Black for BET, a book by Jayson Mussen from Plastic Little. It's super funny/witty and makes lots of fun of white people, so naturally I like it a lot. Buy a copy from Turntable Lab now.

If you've ever lived in New York City, then you probably know how crazy it is to find an apartment there. Often times people spend over two grand a month for a studio, which is completely out of whack with the rest of the world. In retrospect I was super fortunate to get a shared loft in Brooklyn after I graduated from college (shout out to Jon O). Tucker sent over this article today about the realities of the New York apartment game. It's a pretty interesting read.

Boston Boston Boston

If you're from Boston, like I am, then your Beantown swagger should be pretty hard right now. The Celtics start their run at a championship tonight against Atlanta, the Red Sox are riding a three game winning streak and the Bruins forced a game 7 against Montreal in the first round of the playoffs last night.

Miami Mural Madness

Last year I wrote a little post on here about a book that my buddies Alvaro and Jen made called Mural Madness Extravaganza. In the book, they interview a prominent Miami muralist who goes by the name "Serge". Serge has been all over the news recently, after the city of Miami forced him to paint over a mural he painted of Barak Obama, which was part of a tribute to MLK Jr. Read up on the bureaucracy here. The best part in the article is when Serge is quoted saying, "What's the point of painting Martin Luther King Jr. if you can't paint his dream?" Word up.

Check this Interview I did with Greg Lamarche for the Swindle Magazine Blog with photo brilliance from homegirl Dorothy Hong.

The Ruins

I don't like going to scary movies, but I made an exception yesterday to check out my brother from another mother's new movie, The Ruins. I was freaked out the whole time and Jessy kept telling me to stop being a pussy. But seriously, Tucker was amazing per usual. His great acting held the film together. So proud of you dawg!
