A couple of my best buds, Jen Stark and Alvaro Ilizarbe, are in Thailand right now taking part in a group show called FREESIZE.

I saw some of the stuff they were preparing to make when I was in Miami last week and it looks rad. Can't wait to see it in real life!

To produce the exhibition FREE SIZE artists Jen Stark, Juan Angel Chavez, P7, and Alvaro ‘Freegums’ Ilizarbe, will work for one week in the Sinudom Silk Screen factory creating works of art.

By bringing these contemporary artists into a global manufacturing hub, the realms of production and creation will exist in a simultaneous space, transforming this modest factory into an active generator of creative capital. “free size” encourages viewers to see industrial spaces as incubators for creative thought and social evolution.

ABRACADABRA!

One of my favorite artist/designer/friends Alvaro Ilizarbe, has a show that opened in San Francisco this past Friday at the Medicine Agency. It will run for a little while, so if you're in the Bay Area, check up on it. He makes amazing work.

Freegums on Last Nights Party

Last Nights Party posted a video featuring homeboy Freegums on their site yesterday. It's both weird and awesome at the same time! Alvaro has a show coming up in Miami that's going to be fresh. Stay tuned for more info on that because a Freegums party don't stop.

Freegums designed the artwork for the 2008 United Trade Show, which goes down later this month in NYC and then again in Vegas as part of Magic in February. Dood can draw.
