FREESIZE - BANGKOK, THAILAND

A couple of my best buds, Jen Stark and Alvaro Ilizarbe, are in Thailand right now taking part in a group show called FREESIZE.

I saw some of the stuff they were preparing to make when I was in Miami last week and it looks rad. Can't wait to see it in real life!

To produce the exhibition FREE SIZE artists Jen Stark, Juan Angel Chavez, P7, and Alvaro ‘Freegums’ Ilizarbe, will work for one week in the Sinudom Silk Screen factory creating works of art.

By bringing these contemporary artists into a global manufacturing hub, the realms of production and creation will exist in a simultaneous space, transforming this modest factory into an active generator of creative capital. “free size” encourages viewers to see industrial spaces as incubators for creative thought and social evolution.

One of my favorite artist/designer/friends Alvaro Ilizarbe, has a show that opened in San Francisco this past Friday at the Medicine Agency. It will run for a little while, so if you're in the Bay Area, check up on it. He makes amazing work.

Miami - We the Besssst

You're all sleeping sleeping on Miami. Check out how we do tomorrow night. Shout out to my life. Alvaro's solo show at Bas Fisher! Shout out to Ben Dietz at VICE for the free Colt 45! Alvaro aka Freegums is one of my favorites. This is the last show at Bas Fisher before they move locations and we're throwing down so come through and watch movies of Alvaro dancing to Miami bass.
